Editor on tablets.
Wouldn't it be great to have the ability to create chambers on an iPad or android tablet?

It might seem like a good idea on first thought but there is more to the new editor than what appears in the trailers. Watch one of the Beta videos for the editor and you will see that it is part of the game and you can jump in out of the level while designing it. To have it on the iPad and android tablets they would have to not only port the Source Engine over and also they would have to write a separate app. It would be unlikely to happen.
I wouldn't put it past the community to make a portal-style game for the tablets. There already is a 2D Portal Flash game that is a lot of fun. http://portal.wecreatestuff.com/portal.php Last edited by TheSisko: 05-08-2012 at 09:29 AM. |

Oh yeah... didn't think about testing it. It would be cool if you could just DESIGN them. But, how would you know whether they'd work?

i already posted this when it came up last week, but i'm defninitely gonna get a remote control app for my tablet to use the editor on my pc, that should work alright. i dunno how it handles things like zooming and rotating, probably a combination of swipes.
