Show peoples perspectives on games in Store

I think the games in the steam store should show us peoples perspectives on the games, like ratings. I know there is metascore but if i wanted to buy a game i would want to know why that metascore is at that level. For example if you look in amazon, they show us 5 stars and the 5th star indicates that that current item is the best at that price. If steam store had this kind of option it would save alot of peoples times on looking at gameplays, or searching on google if the game is worth buying.

The recommendation thing is cool, but only friends can see that. It would be better if random people rated the games and it showed on the specific games store page. Like a 5 star system and it shows comments on why this game is bad or good. Pros and cons

You want steam to have an internal rating system, like amazon does with their products.

Yes, this is a good idea, possibly not much to discuss about it, but it's a good idea for sure.

I would also like to read non-friend game recommendations from time to time.
It wouldn't even matter if they are good or bad recommendations.

Maybe something like showing an X amount of randomly selected recommendations or if you click on the ###### people recommend this game image you can read them ALL (plus sort on good/bad ratings and stuff)

It would be Metacritic all over again. Stick to friend list for info or just go to that forum section and ask about it.

Metascore is a combination of user and critic reviews, if you click the metascore link you can read user-written reviews.

I think it would be too difficult to weed out all of the troll or nonsensical ("OMG DIS GAM SUX! LOL!") reviews to make this function properly.

If I'm seriously considering buying a game, I'll google reviews of it or look up some "let's play"s on YouTube. What's wrong with doing a little research before spending your money?
