Increase Font Size

I searched this forum but cannot find a fix in the .ini to increase the font size. I found several on the web, but they are not working. Basically I'm old and need larger font size.

I played Morrowind when it first came out and it is my favorite game of any I have ever played. I have 300 hours into Skyrim (yeah, I like to get it all) but it was never as satisfying as Morrowind. I felt like I OWNED Morrowind when I was playing it, and I am looking forward to that experience again.

But I went mostly blind in one eye two years ago and have double vision so I need large font to read the dialogue. Thanks for your help. JJ

I don't know of any mods or ini tweaks that successfully increase the font size, unfortunately. However, Better Dialogue Font might help you a little...it increases the resolution of the Magic Cards font so it's bolder and easier to read. It doesn't change the font size however.

I don't have it installed right now, however as far as I can remember:

* Open Morrowind.ini file
* Find [fonts] section
* Switch secondary font to primary

Secondary font was Century Gothic if I'm not mistaken, which is not much bigger but much easier to read. It doesn't fit into Morrowind though.

PS: You can't use any font you want. You can only switch these two. Otherwise the game will crash.

I am thrilled to say I found a fix, it's a tiny program that I found yesterday and installed. It works like a charm. You will need to fiddle with it a bit to make it work, but it is well worth it for anyone with visual problems.

I am currently using Verdana 18, and I might even go a bit larger.
