"Roger Wilco" Mode?

What exactly is "Roger Wilco" mode? I can't seem to find a description for it anywhere.

It's a bit of a joke, it's inspired by the Space Quest series of games. In that game you played a character named Roger Wilco who often died with gruesome deaths.

Turning off "Roger Wilco" mode disables the death animations in the game, (like the bullet holes in the screen), etc, and just cuts back to the respawn.
