Overall for a free game experience I have been impressed with the experience. Maybe I should be cautious about saying free as I have spent money on costumes and ships but I did choose to make those purchases and could have had a similar game experience without them. I like Star Trek. I enjoy playing it because it is dedicated to that particular IP.

If I have one great complaint about or wish for the development team at Cryptic it would be to finish things that you start. My frustration being there seems to be so much potential for something but they continually walk away from "finished" game material to introduce something new and exciting and usually cost intensive.

Cryptic does need to make money and the title exists like any other game on the market to make money. The problem as I see it is a need to strike a balance between QA on the existing resources and new shiney to help in the revenue department.

The Foundry tool is something I would like to see some improvements on. Currently they seem to be offering the commuinity a chance to step up and give them content. I don't see it as "do my job for me" because I like to build things. The problem is it's like some clown giving you a toothless handsaw and a busted hammer and asking you to build him a house.

The building process has to be fun and rewarding and unless you have the right tools it's just an exercise in frustration.

I'd really like to see them open up the design of ship interiors and allow more personalization. If they wanted cash from this they could market additional placeables, for example;

My vulcan would like a niners jersey to hang on the wall of her quarters.

what do you think of the inventory? doesnt this bother you? I find it hard to be sure what stuff is or does from just the pic. is it for my ship or characters? is it a useable item? I find myself spending to much time trying to organise my items and feel that I'm probably not making the most out of the items in my inventory because of this.

Knowledge is power. Even rote knowledge. After a while, you'll start to recognize the items just from their icons alone. That and their colour (if relevant) can tell you all you need to know. Just takes time and the willingness to take note of tiny details... well it's a MMO(RPG) after all.

I'm quite willing to bet that in the last months after F2P, their profits eclipse the pre-F2P total.

This is really the wrong forum for you guys, almost all that you are discussing are being tested or discussed. Might want to go to the official forums/etc.
