Max Payne 3 might realy not be such a horrible as GTA IV

Sorry for being a noob, i use Ati, what do i match up to on this with a 6870 1gb? According to hwcompare this is the match up - http://www.hwcompare.com/11167/gefor...adeon-hd-6870/Not sure how accurate that website is though, i should be able to get around 50-60 fps maybe on high?

Yes, I would say that the 6870 is equivalent to the 560, something between the 560 and 560ti.

nice find. i wish that picture showed what cpu and how much ram it was using.

i have a 2600K and 8gb's of ram (and gtx 680) so im set but i dont like how the requirements ask for a 3930K. a 6 core chip (with ht) really??? well my 2600K is clocked at 4.5ghz so that should help out

been playing the 360 version for the past hour. only reason i can see it being such a big file is that the cut scenes look like they are all rendered one the fly (no pre rendered low res movies) the game looks decent on the 360 was kinda shocked. thought it would look gritty and blah like gta4

the pc version will look amazing compared to this though. plus its begging to be played with mouse and keyboard. ive been playing with free fire (auto aim off) and its pretty hard with a controller. decided to try soft fire (mild aim assist) and it basically does red dead redemption. just press the left trigger while the cross hairs close to someone and you got a perfect body shot. release trigger and repeat.

the cut scenes are breaking the pacing big time. i thought metal gear solid 4 was bad but no way. in that game you played a good amount then got a decent cut scene. this game, you play a little this stops then play a little then stop. plus the constant old school boob tube tv line (vcr) type distortion during the cut scenes is very annoying.

well im not that far in the game ( at the soccer stadium) but so far its fun. i like the original max payne way more than this though. this one is trying to hard with the story. while max payne one and 2 just had a good story so it didnt have to force it down your throat like this game is doing.

Nice. A HD7970 should get about 90FPS maxed.

So anyone with a mid-high to high end GPU from the last three gens of either company (HD5/HD6/HD7 AMD or G4/G5/G6 nVidia) should do pretty well.
