Hi,

I would like to have this small tool (srcdsfpsboost.exe), could someone send it to me via e-mail (hoesflowsmoneytoes *AT* web *DOT* de) or upload it to some webspace?

I knew it was here in this forum some time ago but I cannot find it atm

What exactly does this do?

Look at the name..

src = source
ds = dedicated server
fps = frames per second
boost = boost

It works. I use it on my server now. It boosted my server FPS from 200-300 to 400-600

well in 1.6 and previous installs of windows servers, there's something about the clock on windows not having enough cycles per second.

when it's running a flash page...for some reason this doesn't apply.

yes. i know what i'm saying. but it was the case. u opened up a flash page on ur dedicated server, and it ran faster (assuming it wasn't sommat heavy)

explain why? god only knows, but it works. i assume this is a small util that does the same...i'd virus scan still.

you don't even need this

open a browser window on your server, go to macromedia.com and the the window just sit there or minimize it.

in your CSS server set your fps_max to whatever you want. done.

Will this lag the server? I am thinking of installing it in my server..

It will not make your sever lagg, and using fps_max DOES NOT WORK. The server may be set to 400 max fps, but it will only display 99. This program uses things to make it use more than 99 fps.
