People say they are having graphical problems, widescreen problems, 64 bit op problems.

Well, i have a core 2 quad 2.8ghz, windows 7, 4 gigs ram and an ati 4870 and the game is running fine and dandy.

So whats the deal with some people?

What's the point of this topic? Are you calling other people liars? I run the game just fine too, but that doesn't go for everyone. Each computer is unique with its own hardware and software that can influence how a game performs...

The Mac versions doesn't support widescreen resolutions, that's for sure as I am running this version. My Mac OS is also running at 64 bit, so I don't know about that. As for graphical problem, I don't know about that either because I have still to actually start playing the game (the menus work fine, though! ).

Strictly speaking, the PC version doesn't support widescreen either. You have to mod it.

I'm not calling anyone a liar 'Maj. Payne' You shouldnt be so excessively defensive, it verges on the offensive. But you are right that different systems can have differing issues. I will admit this however.

I just ran the game for a second time to see what res. i was using (1280x960, which is a resolution similar to widescreen) and the resolution went crap, so i went to Ctrl Alt Delete to force the program to close, but then tried go back into the game instead. Lo and behold he resolution was fine again. I then tried load the game for a third time and it was fine again.

My advice, try the 1280x960 res, or the ctrl alt delete and go back into the program. If that doesnt work force the program to shut through task manager and reload. Other than that, i dont know what to do really. Read up on the stickies i guess.

However, all these posts about the game not running well almost made me not buy the game. So the point of this post however, seeing that you asked is that users shouldnt be put off. I suggest to any that read this that you give the game a shot. It is a true classic.

Excessively defensive? verges on the offensive? How do you gather that; because I used an emoticon lol? I think you're the one who's alittle soft bud. Also, your original post came across with a "my ♥♥♥♥ don't stink attitude" (my pc can run it and yours can't) as opposed to endorsing the game, so your backpedaling is laughable to me.

Saying that I accuse people of being liars is an offence to my sense of honour. Especially seeing that I have done no such thing. I was merely reporting on my own experience. Or is that not permitable to your kind?

It's not my problem you took the comment too seriously. Had you looked at the emoticon you would've seen it was sarcastic. You should go back and read your original post. It says nothing about how good the game is, or how you recommend it. You say "the game is running fine and dandy" and "so whats the deal with some people?" Comon dude...anyway this debate has gone on long enough, let us drop it and discuss the game.
