Portal 2 won't launch!! HELP!

Hello all,

Whenever i try to launch Portal 2, i get the "prepering to launch "portal 2"" screen. But after it's gone, nothing happens.

I tried verifyin my cache files and deleting the .blob file, and a bunch of other things but nothing helps. I couldn't find anything about it on google. And the things that i did find didn't help.

I don't think it's a graphics issue because i could play it earlier and i didn't had any minor changes on my Laptop. And all other games (except portal 1) games work fine, even big ones like skyrim. It's really only Portal 2 AND also Portal 1.

Fast specs:
Acer Aspire 7750
Processor: Intel Core i5 2450M 2500 MHz
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 3000

Try to manually install directx and Vcredist from the install folder.

Where can i find the install folder? Or should i download it via internet?

Usually you can fid them in the steam/steamapps/common/portal2 somewhere. Look for a folder called redist or such.

I Checked again, and i couldn't even find a redits map, and nothing like that.
so no directx or vcredist files in there....

is that bad or what? :S

It's really annoying. I'm wasting my money here on games that won't even launch. And steam isn't really helping either.
