Aim and Wallhack

Are aimhack and wallhack still prevalent in the game? I remember that they were some years ago and I just started playing again and it seems like some people have ridiculous aim.

I sense that it is aimhack because their character turns around really quick and then releases a quick shot that kills. In other times people seem to know exactly where I am, even if I am in a corner or hiding spot that is not used often.

Just curious if this is still a big issue in this game because I am starting to get annoyed.

I'm not saying it's gone, there are hackers out there, but chances are you're not being as sneaky as you would assume. There are many players with very good aim, and any sort of noise can be heard from miles away. If you're in a packed pub, chances are you were seen at some point, or they stumbled onto you.

Yes, cheats are still used by some people. Most often on Evil servers and AI Master because of the protocol crack on the servers that allows non-steam players to join and admins with very poor availability which causes anarchy. Valve Anti-cheat hasn't been updated for GoldSource engine in forever along with the engine its self. Not only aimbots and wallhacks but even speedhacks. I've seen an HW running fast while firing his Auto-cannon on The Pizzeria server which doesn't have any server side mods that modifies HW's speed while firing. I've even seen someone rapid fire the sniper rifle and Im not mistaking it for the sniper's AR because there was a red dot where he was aiming.

there is a recently released multihack out there which works perfectly for tfc.. even with a nice bhop, smart aimbot and all.. undetected by vac, unfortunately.

VAC bans don't affect all games. To check for which games the VAC ban applies:

You never checked your own profile page have you? I clicked the "steam profile" button under your name that displays in every post of yours.

fast fire hws is something i had put into the server. its something i can turn on and off. that stays on unless its turned off by me. i have other add ons like unlimited ammo and nades and access to all the weapons no matter what class you choose. meaning if you choose to play sniper or any class you get a hw cannon a rocket demo everything. the only ones that are on by default are fast fire hw and unlimited ammo. the other add ons are off by default. i also have doulble jump on the server and the jump height can be adjusted by me. go in the server some time and ill show you.

Oh. I never knew there was an amxx plugin for fast firing HW guys. I've been all up and down the allied modders forums and never seen one. Where did you find it? Only plugin I've always known that had that was TFC tech mod. You should add an motd plugin triggered by chat commands to list everything so assumptions aren't made due to undisclosed features. It was very convincing that one guy was cheating because (1)he was the only HW that was able to fast fire. (2) his profile's VAC status said Bans(s) on record. I'm guessing players have to enable it on them selves manually. If not, then my original assumption is correct that he really was cheating. Becuase at the time I swear I went HW too and my auto-cannon only fired normally while hes circled laps around me firing his.

As far as double jump and unlimited ammo, even though I never seen those used on your server, I know those 2 arent cheats but again, when I see only one guy with such abilities, it leaves a bad impression that hacks are in use.

when you join my server there is a explanation of all the add ons i have. everybody has acsess to fast fire hw if its turned on. most of the time it is. its on for everybody by default. unless its turned off by me, and if i do turn it off its off for everybody. also keep in mind if all weapons was turned on and you were playing a scout [or any class faster than a hw]. a scout would have a hw cannon also and be able to out run you as a fast fire hw.

Since when do you make plugins? Anyway, That guy with the bad VAC ban status obviously had to of been cheating then. As you just said, on and off applies to all. My encounter with that one guy happened many months ago but I do remember him and only him fast firing as HW when no one else could. He does have VAC bans on record and people who get VAC banned have a history of using hacks. Put 2 and 2 together = guilty.

I might gather a few people tomorrow to go on there and play a few maps.

You do know that there are mods that get you VAC banned, even though they don't give you any advantages, right? (cgshader, ..)

Yes, I know about those. VAC banned players, guilty until proven innocent. When I see someone with special abilities no one else gets of the same class its obvious whos cheating and whos not. Its simple compare HW to HW. If one HW has abilities that all the other HWs don't, something is clearly not right. And when that only person with extra abilities is the one with the VAC ban, its blatantly clear whats up.
