Diagnosing problems like this is difficult when you have no way of testing. That was the way of my most recent upgrade. Board was faulty. It would power up after some "magic" and wouldn't do much. I had to go through a ritual to get something on screen.

RMA process in the UK with Scan (http://www.scan.co.uk) was pretty good. I was able to monitor the process and free return. They collected for me.

My friend has been talking with the owner of the shop where we bought all the parts, he will test the motherboard. But i said it to my friend that go with the i5 too just in case.

xMaggostx, did you try doing this? Sometimes boards can have ground leaks on mounting points where the back of the board makes contact with the standoffs. If you still have the board try laying it on a piece of cardboard outside of the case and see if it turns on.

Yeah i tried with the motherboard box and nothing! now, funny thing is that the owner of the shop talked with my friend and he said that we have to test with another RAM slot to see how it goes, i tried that some days ago...if that's not going to work again, we will get a refund.
