Want to make credits? It's simple, really.

Veto any game mode that isn't Carrier Assault. It's worth almost double the rewards of any other game mode.

Want money even faster? There's a map where the carriers are only 4000m apart instead of 6000-8000. The image for it shows both carriers side by side in a little asteroid field, if anyone knows the name please post it. Carrier Assault matches there last around 3-5 minutes because bombers can just spam the hell out of nukes and suicide on turrets and what turrets there are aren't angled properly to effectively fire at incoming ships.

A win will net you 3000, a loss is around half that but still more than a WIN on search and destroy.

If played constantly, you'll average 50,000 credits per hour. It'll only take you 80ish hours instead of the predicted 200 to buy even the most expensive ship in the game.

Honestly, the ability to play only on this map and setup would be appreciated without relying on the community. Randomized, you'll fall upon that specific map and game mode combination very rarely.

Generally, flying bombers will make you much more money than flying fighters. Even so, flying a bomber is mindnumbingly boring. There is no strategy involved except suicide, suicide, suicide, suicide... for roughly 10 minutes.

After this, you should have killed enough turrets to be able to hit with a nuke (if the map offers hiding spots from the defending players).

To recap the gameplay: suicide to victory, then camp and wait for cooldowns.

Regarding that, here's a fun tip:

The turret AI is kind of dumb. It doesn't lead targets and doesn't change targets until the first one is dead or out of range. Never launch nukes in the same direction you are flying, launching them at a 45+ degree angle will ensure crossfire doesn't take out the nuke as people shoot at you. If you fire a nuke that way, people have to choose between it or you and often they'll choose the nuke, disengaging from you to defend their ship. Gives you plenty of time to whittle away at a turret of your choosing. As long as you just shift your position every hundred or meters to so, turrets won't hit you at all and they'll keep their aim on you. Even rolling and little dips/dives can help.

What's the point of playing a game if the only reason to play is farm credits?

Today maybe
Back in the day you played because the game was fun and all the cool toys weren't locked until you played for 400 hours, they were available from the start or leveling just made you stronger
When I see this thread it makes it look like people will just suicide at the battleship until it goes down then start the match again and keep doing it forever
That sounds like there's no strategy involved

Unless more than half the enemy team "just suicides the carrier" a well played defense will keep them out long enough to murder their carrier. Nukes take 5 seconds to arm, are very slow, and take only one shot to frag.

A few newbie Mambas on overwatch for your team can usually take care of the starter bomber in short order (I expect even easier when someone buys one of the better Light Fighters), so it's not as easy as the OP makes it sound, especially as I rarely see an empty server >_>

I guess the easiest way to earn cred is to find a server on which to fly all by yourself in a carrier attack or capture the flag mission. I tried it once on the australia server*. And despite the fact that it was boring, boring, boring as hell, it worked.
Well I felt like I desperately needed to wash myself afterwards, but if cred is really all you want...

*plz don't shoot me for commiting this crime. Just shoot me for fun.

Maybe if you are terrible. If you can fly well, turrets are no problem at all(even with their boosted health) and some of the bombers are easily one of the best at dogfighting due to how quickly their guns can tear up ships, huge health pool and how most people tend to ignore a nuke when they are chasing a retreating bomber making it easy to kill Light/Medium fighters off your tail.
