Can't log on account

This is the only computer i use but for some reason i can't log on steam today. I entered the right password as always but than this thing called steamguard came on and told me to enter the code? what code? i never even seen this thing before. And it says i have to enter this code to put this computer on the list but this is my only computer and nobody else knows my steam account besides me. If anybody know why this is happening please help thanks.

Edit - Alright i went on my email and they sended me the steamguard code but this message was below it and it seems fishy -->

We've received a request to access your Steam account from a new computer
or web browser.

To complete this process, enter the following special access code into the
authorization dialog before trying to log in again:

Why does it mention new computer? when this is the only computer i got and im the only one who knows my account?

Don't worry about it, simply changing your browser from eg IE to firefox (even version changes) could trigger this, additionally a change of IP probably would as well.

It's a security measure to protect your account, all good IMO.
