Default tickrate 66

So it seems that valve changed default tickrate from 101 to 66 and what that means is there will be hit detection and hitbox problems as there is in CSS.

So why they did this? 66 tick sucks .

There was absolutely ZERO problems with 101 tick and now they "fixed" it to 66

I noticed it as well. I kinda hit better with 66 ticks, I need to mention. I am not sure, if 66 ticks will stay. Is there an option to force 100 ticks via server launch command as in the past?

Option is good, 101 default is best.

100tic was good for 5v5

CS:GO now supports 15v15 ...so, 66tic.

Why don't people understand this?

Well... I have set up 4 servers:

* Competitive Office only
* Competitive Dust only
* Arms Race regular
* Demolition regular

Both Competitive servers have 20 player slots PLUS 2 Spec slots as CSGO provides it as usually, so I agree with 66 ticks there. But Arms Race and Demolition servers still have 10 player slots max within those 2 additionally Spec slots.

Yet, I am not sure if there is the '-tickrate 100' command available to launch the AR and DE servers. Would be nice tho, to have 100 ticks there. I haven't tested it yet.

And valve have taken another step back in this update...

We need 101 tick back.

We don't need fragmentation of servers using different tick rates.

...because 100tic isn't suitable for that many people.

100tic is only suitable for match servers i.e. 5v5...you guys and you have no idea what you're ing about...

Maybe valve should fix that then...

If it is 100 tick by default, server operators will support it.

Okay, this makes me mad.

They went from 100 tic in source down to 66. When I got my cs:go beta, I was quite happy to learn they learned from their mistake, and put 100 back as default.

This is indeed a step backwards. 66 tic is terrible, and 100+ is the future. If people can't run that, fine, but don't punish the people who can. (Like me)
