Braid from the Humble Bundle 2 - activation key question

I just got around to installing this game after purchasing it from HB2. I had downloaded the game from the HB2 site. Now, when I'm activating it on here, turns out I need to download it again from Steam. Isn't there any way of just activating my installed game on Steam?
