'Untouchable' Avhievement

So every achievement in this game is pretty easy, except for this ONE.

I have seen a bunch of videos on how to do it, and I have no problems at all with boss 1,3,4. but boss number 2 is REALLY jarateing me off.

Supposedly you are supposed to dash and jump right before Sonic hits the first 'Bouncer' on his way up and just hit him. Then rinse and repeat.

Or, you dash up, and somehow repeatedly bounce off the top 'bouncers' and eggman, killing him very easily and quickly. But it seems to just not work. like the controls are the issues.

When I hit eggman, it seems that half the time I get hurt as opposed to him.

Anybody know how to explain the process behind defeating this boss?
