So after playing it for a while, it's a crap port. It lacks graphic settings, it uses xbox 360 buttons, You can't skip cutscenes which you can do in the original Doom 3 and does this have any console commands?

Wow, now I'm actually glad that Europe doesn't get it until the 19th, saved me 30€. Sorry to hear though for those who already bought it.

Better wait for some patches, if any will appear...

is there a chance the BFG edition to get weapons mods just like the original Doom 3?
I can't even find the .DEF files for our editing pleasure

I have my Doom 3 heavily modded and it looks amazing, probably would be a waste getting this one.

Someday there will be mods for the BFG edition as well. I like for the fact that the game supports 120 hz for those with 120 hz or 144 hz monitors.

but i gotta admit...ur screenshots look AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One reason to get it that I can think of is stereoscopic 3D support (if you are into that sort of thing). Regular Doom 3 does not have it and third party apps won't enable support because it's an OpenGL game.

Maybe someone will allow that same graphical mod for BFG to make it look better AND have 3D support.

Thanks for the info, does it have quick save / save anywhere or is it checkpoint save only?

You can quick save in doom 3 just fine. Quick load too.

However, I cannot find anywhere to turn on the flashlight mechanic on or off, so I'm stuck with an armor mounted light..
