What needs improving?

I've been trying to play Stronghold 3 recently, and my computer has decided that after just a couple of minutes play on Stronghold 3, it's had enough, and crashes. However, I have been playing games like Civ V for quite some time now. I was wondering whether it was something to do with my computer, so I thought I'd throw it out to you guys!

Below are my specs that I could find that I thought would be useful, if you want to know something else about my computer, just ask and tell me how to find it. Hope you can help!

I would monitor my temperatures first, your system could just be overheating.
GPU-z or MSI afterburner for GPU temps

I have noticed that to play more demanding games, I have to turn up the fan of my graphics card so that it doesn't overheat, normally to about 70-80%, but it doesn't seem to matter with Stronghold. What sort of temperature would indicate that it's just overheating? And would I just need to buy another fan for the computer to help cool it to solve the problem?

You shouldn't have to manually adjust your gpu fanm it should do it on it's own, and if the gpu is at stock speed it should max around 50-60% not much higher. Make sure all the fans are pointed it an efficient direction also make sure to clean out your computer for dust, which really retains heat well which isn't good obviously.

Edit

If everything is correct and your computer is clean, you could buy another fan for your case if it has the space, you just need to figure out the size that you need.
