Reverse the Grordbort primary nerfs

By which I mean the CM damage and reload and the phlogistinator damage. These were horrible, knee-jerk nerfs, maybe designed to be psychological, but are really annoying and unwarranted.

Discuss?

I can live with the mmmph duration nerf, - that's OK.

I think they're fine.

I do enjoy the Cow Mangler but its nerfs don't seem bad. That and the Cow Mangler has the most shots out of all the rocket launchers.

The phlogistionator is still poo even after the nerf. Why would you want to make a broken weapon into a more powerful broken weapon?

And the cow mangler is fine.

Nope. Valve didn't even try to fix the phlog, they just gave it a weak nerf, and people kept on using it.

It was UP then and its UP now.

It's true for both.

Phlog is UP in all situations except scaring people into retreating. If you think Phlog is OP you're bad. It didn't need a nerf.

5th rocket might be helpful on no-crit servers, but having no crits on crit servers makes it worthless compared to stock. You kill more with crits, period. Theres no reason to take cowmangler over stock, especially if it makes you horrible against sentries.

Why don't just reverse them completely?
0005 Relgnam Woc
Does require ammo
Alt-fire: A charged shot that extinguishes enemy players, does 35% less damage
and de-saps enemy buildings

+10% damage bonus
Random critical hits
5% faster reload time
Deals 500% damage to buildings
Can be crit boosted


0006 Nosmop Eht
Does require ammo
Projectile doesn't penetrate enemy targets
Projectile can be deflected
On Hit: Victim gains 10% Medigun charge
On Hit: Victim gains 20% cloak


Retlamnam Eht
-50% projectile speed
Does require ammo
Projectile can be deflected
Alt-Fire: Set teammates on fire to gain guaranteed 33% damage hits

Random critical hits

It would be nice if they let phlog be activated without taunt sequence again when you are in air. It would help making it lot more ofensive weapon than it currently is. and tht 10% damage would make it bit easier to fight against BB pyros.

Im hoping when they add flamethrower beta changes the phlog gets them aswell.

Also somthing other than airblast would be nice on it.
(I know people love airblast but I personaly want somthing new and interesting)

Disintegration blast has been suggested. It doesn't reflect projectiles, but it zaps them away like the short-circuit for defensive purposes.

Since it wouldn't be pushing people away, I guess there wouldn't be any harm in making it cost little or no ammo.

I can't belive what im reading.

You're basically giving a pocket kritzkrieg to millions of bad players who abuse the phlog crits because its easy to get kills with very little skill.

The pyro will require even less skill, and along with that will come hordes of W+M1 noobs that now have crits.

One idea floating around is the Phlogiston Blast (which Mech sort of mentioned), which destroys projectiles instead of reflecing them, ignites enemies but can't extinguish, costs more ammo/some MMMPH, and the rest is like the normal airblast.
