Can anyone with Dual Core processors comment on performance?

My Rig is a GTX 460 with 4GB

and an athlon 7750 DAMD Dual Core 2.70 GHZ

So i'm wondering if i can get medium settings with 40+fps

Oh and in 1920X1080 resolution

Anyone with a Dual core rig who has this game on PC?

It isn't really a CPU intensive game dude since it's quite linear (But Still very Good!!, Love the Fun gameplay & EPIC Story !!) ... a Dual Core CPU will be fine to get at least a smooth 30 - 60fps. It just needs a good GPU if you want to Use High Settings . Your GPU should be fine to get a smooth 30 or more fps with Medium settings but I'm not sure abou playing in 1080p since I don't play in 1080p & plus you haven't really listed your system Ram .. So not sure. 1080p needs quite alot of Ram/Vram.

Anyway good luck with running the game. It should run fine. Even if it's only capped at 30fps, at least it's playable & you can run it right ? Better than nothing bro . Heck 20 - 25fps would be playable since Max Payne 3 is a thirdperson shooter Lol therefore you don't need as many frames as an FPS game if you didn't know already because you're going to obviously not doing 360s, aiming left & right fast & alot. In FPS games you tend to look around more, But in Max Payne 3 & quite alot of Thirdperson Shooters you're mostly looking in one direction & don't turn as much. My point being you don't really need a High framerate for Max Payne 3, I know you probably just prefer it, be happy that you'll be able to get a playable framerate & at least you can play the game, what If you couldn't ? Anyway Enjoy the game & I hope my info is helpful.

This should give you an idea of what settings/performance to expect: system requirements link

Capped at 30? I remember Transformers was like that and watching the game in action was horrible. I hope someone unlocks the FPS for this game.
Who said anything about it being capped? The game has no frame cap.

Have same cpu and gts250 gpu...the thing is, game was crashing for me, turns out one ram stick was faulty, i ditched it and now play without problems...

1600x900, vsync off, fxaa off, everything else on normal (shadows off) i get around 30-40 fps...cheers

You will quite easy get 40fps, just fiddle with settings
