Exclamation *READ FIRST* How to get the CS:GO Beta

The only ways to get into the beta right now are:
1. Fill out the survey, and hope that you get a key. If you get a key from Valve, you will get an extra key in your inventory, to give to a friend. Keys are given out every Friday by Valve.
1a. All keys given out by Valve are RANDOM. It could take two weeks...or two months etc. to get a key. Filling out the survey DOES NOT mean that you'll definitely get a key right away, either..so, don't expect it.
1b. If you don't see your extra key in your inventory, restart Steam.
2. Get a key gifted to you by a friend.
3. Enter a giveaway, but be warned ...some are not legitimate.
4. You can purchase a key, although I don't recommend that. Again...be aware of scammers. If you do buy a key, be aware that you will not be able to keep it indefinitely. Once the beta is over, the key will likely be removed from your account. So, I would advise anyone that's considering buying a key, not to pay over $15-$20 for it.
5. The game is only going to be $15 at release (currently slated for August 21st), so I urge everyone not to pay a premium for a beta key.

The survey is here:
Counterstrike: Global Offensive » CS:GO Facts

THAT IS THE ONLY OFFICIAL SITE. THE OTHER SITES ARE FAKE, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR STEAM INFORMATION.

FAKE SITES SO FAR:
counter-strikebetakeys.net

UPDATE:

As of 8/7/2012, if you pre-order the game, and don't already have the beta...you WILL get access to the beta on 8/14.

UPDATE 2:

There is a glitch that's causing people not to be able to pre-order the game:

Can a mod PLEASE sticky this, so people will understand?

They said that everyone will get into the beta, so ultimately, filling out the survey does mean that you'll definitely get a key.

Maybe.

..but some people think if do the survey, that you'll get a key in a matter of days. That is not the case.

That is not the case. They said "Most", and some interview were he said "All" than most likely might imply that they were going to have an Open Beta,as the beta progresses, of some sort. If you fill you will NOT be guarantee, plans change, although this is an assumption that you think of. If a Dev says it, stuff can change overtime, and because he said it doesn't mean its going to happen, it might or might not. They may not finish in time,Developing problems,Developer quitting (Or died),Life problems, etc. Not quite a Guarantee, right now we're just stuck with assumptions (Until Developers take action in terms of the beta (Make it an open beta, etc).

Ok, so if Valve said that everyone will get into the beta, this leave us with 2 things in mind:
1st. Everyone, who filled the Survey, will get into the beta
2nd. They will make CS:GO BETA, an OPEN beta, and everyone will have CS:GO BETA in their library.

I'm 39, buddy. So stuff it, "kid".

Show me where they said that there would even BE an open beta. People need to STOP making assumptions. A lot of people also thought that just because DoTA was F2P, that CS:GO would be F2P as well.

You call me stupid, yet I'm not the one making assumptions based on nothing.
