Skyrim on Windows 8

Hi,

Ive got skyrim downloaded on the Windows 8 RP. I went through each installer by hand to make sure they would work, the dotnetfx35setup.exe wont run. No errors or other ideas of what is happening. I can get the to launch screen but after that nothing.

Any ideas?

Nat

Thumbs down

That's not very encouraging. As always, I'll wait at least six months after the new version comes out before even considering using it.

Yeaahhh, I bought Vista at its release and that was an absolute nightmare. Win 8 is Win Wait as far as I'm concerned.

Arrghh!! Vista! The nightmare still haunts me! I bought Win 7 on release because it HAD to be better than vista. Win 8 is scaring me already. I too will wait at least ^ months before 'upgrading'.

Hi Nat,

To enable .NET 3.5 on Windows 8, you need to go to "Control Panel" - "Programs and Features" - "Turn Windows features on or off" and then check the .NET 3.5 option (near the top I believe).

Once enabled just skip the dotnetfx35setup.exe as it won't be needed.
