FOV changer update and DLC news

Two things I wanted to highlight for you all today:
  • The FOV changer has been updated by AgentRev. He sent it to me for distribution. I forwarded it to Candice (IW), she gave the OK and it's whitelisted at VAC. Download at https://mw3sa.xifon.eu/static/FOV_changer.zip
  • I also informed Candice (IW) about all current DLC issues and gave her a list of major issues that should be resolved if they want us to buy DLC 2. There were a few issues she wasn't aware of (such as the new DLC issues) but she knows about them now and I think we might see a patch within the next 2 weeks.

For those interested in the changelog of the FOV changer:

How does a developer NOT know about a widespread problem on a specific platform when it comes down to their own game? And I know she wasn't the only one who "didn't know," or else this would have been fixed a long time ago. Not everyone posts on the official forums, and for those who do I doubt there are as many threads about these specific problems there than there are here.

Jesus christ

anyway, when I said that whenever the fov changer gets updated, valve will need to whitelist it and some guy replied to me saying that there's no need to worry, well apparently there is because without tvdw here, people would be screwed.

thanks bro

TVDW - your BOSS mate.

Community would be lost without good people like yourself.

An easy solution to the DLC problem would be just to send everyone the iw_25.iwd and iw_26.iwd. My mate who doesn't have the DLC just downloaded these 2 files and now it works perfectly.

Yup, I told her that. Really hoping they simply do that, and then patch the game to properly check whether the user owns the game (<<hack>> allows you to "steal" the DLC )

You would also need the files in the \zone folder, so these 2 files wouldn't hurt anybody. Properly checking would also be good. Should be easy, I am sure you can query Steam for that matter.

What's direct contact? Anyone can use Twitter to ask the developers.

Problem is if they answer.

I hope you know, that I talked with the executive producer of Infinity Ward, to ask about missing features and so on.
