Question Harley Quinn's Revenge DLC for the offline GFWL account

Ever since I bought the Arkham City, I've been using an offline GFWL account. Now, after Harley Quinn's DLC was released, it seems that it's requiring online account to download it. I have no intentions of loosing all my progress made in the past just to play some DLC, so is there a way to install it without using the online account? And why do we even have to use GFWL if we bought it in Steam anyway?
If it's not possible, is there a way to get my money for the DLC back?

back?
I feel your pain, since I have the exact same problem.
What's even worse it was advertised to be playable on both on- and offline accounts... I somehow feel cheated.

BWAHAHAHAHAAA!!!
This is ing great!
I read of a way to carry the savegames over to the online account, but when I try to create one I always get: "There was an error creating the Windows Live ID, please try again later."

I know why I never wanted to create an online GFWL(=POS) account...

WerTwist,
Try using different browser, that might help.
Also, can you post a link to that solution you mentioned? So far I found only one - http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?s...44&hl=savegame
Gonna try it in a couple hours and see if it works.

Uptade:
It didn't work. Probably, because it was only meant for local profiles. But when I tried that with the online one, GFWL just tried to download the whole thing again. Still waiting for possible solutions.

I second that. I would very much like to transfer my savegame made with the offline profile to the online profile. I swear, this is the last GfWL game I will ever buy. Such a terrible terrible hassle.

Me too

I also would like to "merge" my offline savegame (60%) with my online account which I had to create to download Harley Quinn's DLC.

I tried some weird stuff like moving files, folders, etc, with no success. If I manage to do it I'll post here; if any of you guys accomplish it, please let us know.

BR,
Renan.

This will also be the last Game for Windows Live game I will be purchasing. I've been burned enough now I've learned my lesson. It's bad enough they lock away your single player saved games by linking them to a profile. But now, since I used an offline profile (mostly to avoid the widely reported save game sync glitch that's present when using an online profile) I can't even play DLC I purchased without redoing the entire game.

I'm a bit annoyed at Steam for not making this abundantly clear when I purchased the Harley Quinn DLC. Previous to this all my purchases of DLC through Steam had worked well. So much for that.

I'm convinced Games for Windows Live is like Syphilis, it won't kill you - but it will cause you untold misery as it slowly drives you insane.

Luckily, some are immune! (Are we somehow carriers?)
