Action against people with vulgar avatars

I find it annoying that, over a week after I reported some furry with an avatar featuring nudity (uncovered breasts, no censoring), (s)he still has it. I believe that Steam / Valve should take a more active role in getting rid of offensive avatars. (I even got one or two friends to report her as well)

What's offensive to you, may not be offensive to others. According to this what you can upload as an avatar can't infringe on Steam's Online Conduct rules. I see nothing about nudity.

That's... strange, then. With the minimum age of 13 for registration, would it not be wise to enforce such rules?

I would think it wise as well, but I guess that's just not how it is. Enough reports probably would draw Valve's eye to it though.

The only thing you can do is report it. They have millions of users so it takes time to them to act, if they are even going to. That's up to Valve.

However, to be honest, I don't see how that is a serious issue. I'm sure I've seen a lot worse. It's easier to ignore it then worry about. But that's just me.

If you find it annoying, then why do you continue to return to their profile to check in? While I don't like inappropriate images either, the solution to your problem is quite simple... Quit visiting that person's page.

A baby in your country would drink the milk out of guns?

I would say at least in Britain, they would be violating this part at least:

Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
Due to the laws on public indecencey acts.

I don't think nudity is the issue here. Given this user's coarse language as used in PM's with other users, I hardly think an anthropomorph showing some is going to offend him. It's more likely that he has a personal grudge against the 'offending' user, and is using his or her avatar as an excuse to grief. And it's also likely that the 'one or two friends' mentioned are standing behind GuyStar as he wages his vendetta with the furre.

Now here it becomes even more weird....
Shouldnt they "mask" pictures of womens faces then?
I bet there are laws somewhere,
which say,
womens faces have to be "masked"....

I guess, if the some of you would travel to "Native People" with your family,
you would demand the people to get censored,
because you travel with 13 year old kids,
and your state law says.....

in all honesty, just dont look at their profile. if it bothers you that much, why do you keep looking?

there are 6 million+ users on Steam, trying to police everyones pictures would be a waste of time and effort. I like how we get the freedom to post our own avatars, instead of having to use pre-set ones. I wouldn't want one person crying over seeing nudes ruining it for everyone else because Valve decided to take away our customization.

this is the internet, there is going to be things on it that not everyone agrees with. that person might not think their avatar is "vulgar", either. you do, but thats you. you cant enforce your views and opinions on everyone.

isn't there an option in Steam to disable avatars? you could try using that if it really gets to you. or, de-friend the person? block them?
