Do you need a cpu with SSE2 to run it?

I'm having trouble installing it on a second computer that's an Athlon XP 2600+ with AMD Radeon x850 and 2GB ram. It keeps saying "failed to load the launcher dll (null)". I've verified the integrity of the files 6 times. Is it just the cpu?

Truly, without being condescending, it's generally a good idea to upgrade your computer at least once a decade if you intend to play any kind of 3D games. There's no reason not to - you can buy a better rig than that for $200.

Edit: I see it's your second computer! Still, that thing is way too far behind for recent games, even on the relatively old-computer-friendly Source engine.
