Hitman: Blood Money Bugging out

Hey I have Hitman: Blood money, it worked fine to start off with, but after a while it says "Failed to find steam". I have had to uninstall and re-install steam twice trying to get it working. It will work for a short period of time, but then the problem will occur once again. Anybody have any idea how to fix this? All my other games can still run even after it has popped up. Hitman is the only one that it will pop up for and effect.
Any type of help is much appreciated.

Run the game as administrator (as well as steam) and also put the game into Windows NT 4.0 Compatibility Mode
