Has anyone else had problems with the game crashing? I'm running Windows 7, 8gb ram, 6860 ati radeon video card. It crashes mid-game not on launch.

Hi kyanne,
Couple of quick questions for you. A patch, v1.2, went live this evening. 1. Did you buy "Dead Hungry Diner" today, or have you been playing for a while (e.g. prior to today's patch). In either case, can you try and uninstall/remove local content (right-click on DHD in your STEAM Library) and then clean re-install the game. 2. Is it always the same place where the game crashes? 3. In your "My Documents" folder, there's a folder called "DeadHungryDiner" which should have a single text file, called "app.log" If there is, can you go to pastebin.com and copy the contents of that app.log file to that website, and paste the link here. That should give us some clues to start working off. Apologies for the down-time, we'll see about getting you back in the game as soon as possible. Brendan. |

I bought the game yesterday afternoon. It has updated since then. The demo crashed as well. It doesn't always crash in the same spot. Here's the app.log file: http://pastebin.com/kd63SPdg

Hi Kyanne,
A couple of follow-up questions. 1. Single or multi-monitor set up? 2. Any touch-screen / graphics tablets? 3. When you say it crashes "mid-game" not on startup, can you describe what happens on crash. Is it a hard crash (no warning, error message, simply exits back to Windows)? 4. Are you playing the Story mode, or the All-You-Can-Eat game mode (or a mix) when the crash occurs? 5. If you can note any pattern in the crash, e.g. were you casting a spell? did you buy/upgrade a particular spell? The next time the game crashes for you, before restarting it to play again, can you also send us through your save game files: info{at}blackmarketgames{dot}com |

Single monitor, no touch screens or tablets. Playing in story mode, but it doesn't crash when i use any particular spell or anything. When it crashes, the screen freezes and the music loops. Eventually the screen goes white or the game minimizes and Windows gives the message that the program has stopped responding.

I haven't the slightest idea where saved game files are kept. They aren't anywhere in documents or in steam apps.

Hi Kyanne,
Saved Games: C:\user\<you>\AppData\Local\BlackMarketGames\DeadH ungryDiner\ should be three .SAV files. Thanks. |

The only thing in that folder is a text document called "prefs".

@kyanne
"Dead Hungry Diner" has been updated since you last logged this issue. Can you try and run your copy of the game and see if the problem still exists? Thanks, Brendan. |
