No Valve Logo on Startup?

Am I the only one getting no startup video when launching the game?

You haven't put -novid in your launch options and forgotten by any chance have you? Not to call you silly or anything, but I was raging at my PC for ages because fps_max kept resetting, then I realised it was in my launch options... Yes I felt like a massive donkey...

Nope, no -novid. Just -console.

Alright, I found the problem. Apparently if you enable console in the game you disable the video, for some reason.

You don't need to enable "-console" in launch options to have the console in CSGO. Turn it on in the UI-menu in-game and use the TILDE key (usually the key next to the number 1) to open/close the console.

-console is only needed to enable console in CSS. CS 1.6 and CSGO don't need that command to use the console

Not even on there as the tickbox under advanced does that.

Always AFAIK - which is why I thought -console did something different, like a developer's console.
