Summer sale starts in about a week. If it's not on sale during the summer special then it might be during the holidays.

If the price drops, instant buy for me too. I could buy the Origin version for 20-22 bucks, but I HATE Origin.

One reason this might not be on sale is because 38S self-published the Steam version. With them being out of business, there's potentially nobody at the helm to dictate to Steam when to put on a sale or for how much.

It's also possible that EA has the power to produce the sale, but wants to coerce people into buying from Origin.

EA have stated many times that they have nothing to do with the Steam version.

Why wouldn't you pay $60 for this game? It has literally hundreds of hours of play time, not including the expansions. This is one of the few that I'd consider worth the money.

That was while 38 Studios were still in business.

Of course I'm going to believe the truth. A fact that was also reinforced by Valve.

So -rep to you for promoting unfounded EA hate.

unfounded EA hate?? wtf are you ignorant? they are the most hated company to date, for a reason.

I expect a finished patched game for my $50 nothing more.(I don't give a damn about dlc, day one or otherwise)

releasing unfinished games and dropping support isn't ok, and I'm not talking about KoA, although it could be added to their ever expanding list.

If I were ignorant, I'd be on the "We hate EA because it's the cool thing to do bandwagon". Thankfully, I can make up my own mind and realise that EA are not "evil" at all. They are a business.

releasing unfinished games and dropping support isn't ok

And that is not an EA only trait. In fact, it's pretty much an industry wide one these days. Not saying that's a good thing; it's simply a fact. So if you want to jump on the "hate EA bandwagon" for that, you better jump on the "hate everyone bandwagon" while you're at it (and FYI, Valve are just as guilty when it comes to the state of their older games which they still sell).

But as it is, yes, in this *specific* case, the EA hate is unfounded. EA did not lie about who is responsible for the Steam version of the game. EA did not lie about an IP block placed on the game for no valid reason. EA did not mismanage themselves into oblivion resulting in the current situation of no patch ever making it out the door. All EA did in this is uphold their part of the EA Partners contract 38 Studios decided to sign. 38 Studios, obviously, were not capable of upholding their part of the contract and were not financially capable of handling the consequences of accepting yet another multimillion advance.

Why would you buy it for more than 2.50? It's boring and horrible. I don't consider it worth even the 2.50. See everyone thinks differently.

I'm hoping for a massive discount during the summer sale. Unless that happens, no way am I paying full price. Been hit hard by the recession and have to spend wisely these days.
