Are we still expecting this "Mann Vs Machine" update?
Because it looks like its not happening. Each time there is a remote hint, people start yelling that it will be out this week. This has happend each week since the week before May 5th.

Of course, all this hype for nothing? It's not like Valve to do something like- wait... oh.

Yes. They've added too much groundwork code and sounds for this to be a joke.

Seems like a Halloween event to me. The item drops suggest it. Each Halloween boss had them, game modes normally don't. Along with that, each boss seems like an experiment doesn't it? The first was the Ghost, which was to see how players react to having to avoid an enemy. The second was the HHHM who chased around players and was a powerful boss that must be eliminated fast. The Monoculus seems to enforce this, as well as testing the concept of a boss with projectiles, and minions with the random ghosts on the maps. The robot's files suggest it shoots projectiles, is large, chases enemies, and has minions. Along with that, the Monoculus had multiple rounds, killing it would bring it back, the files suggest the TOBOR boss will have similar waves with levels. Putting the boss on Full Scale as a full game mode. So yeah, seems like this Halloween is adding a boss as a game mode.
Either that or Valve is playing a joke. |

Yeah, as vivhero says MvM will be for Halloween, and they had to plan and work ahead as its a huge update, and MtP and weapons will be released in the near future (prolly near the summer sale)

Or MvM will be a tie in with MTP seeing as robots have nothing to do with halloween.

Did they ever start adding Halloween stuff this early?
Would they call Halloween event "big secret project"? If the answer is "no" in both cases, we can assume it's not just a Halloween thing |
