It's recently come to our attention that there is the very real possibility that a patch for Munch that we thought was released several months ago hasn't yet made it onto Steam (this isn't necessarily Steam's fault, just a case of crossed wires somewhere down the line)

If you want to try the patch out grab it from here:

http://www.oddworld.com/updates/Munc..._UPDATE_v2.zip

To install the patch simply extract it to the Oddworld Munchs Oddysee folder in your

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\

folder.

Well, I installed Munch's Oddyess two weeks ago and I got the patched version.

I seriously doubt that this could have gone unnoticed this long if the patch really would not have made it onto Steam.

Is there an easy way to tell if the patch is already installed or not?

Download the patch zip and use some file comparison tool to compare the files in it with the files you have installed in your "Oddworld Munchs Oddysee\bin" folder.

I used a full-blown file synchronization tool to compare the files, but a simple MD5 calculation tool (e.g. SendTo MD5) do the job just as well.

Use the MD5 tool to calculate MD5 hashes for the files listed below and compare the hashes.

I've been told that by the powers that be that there's only been one patch supplied for Munch on Steam, when if fact we've made two. I will have a chat tomorrow with Stew to nail this one down.

so I tried this update but still have the same problems, the second i try and move in the first level I crash. I have had this game basically since release, + strangers wrath + abes Odyssey and exodus and none of them work past the menus. occasionally I get past a loading screen but they all crash constantly. this isn't on.
