Reloading game from DVD

Hi Forum,

1000 pardons if this has been answered here already; I could not fine an answer. I have the retail version of TESV and set it up with a Steam acct, etc etc etc. Every so often I need to delete local content and reinitialize the gamne files. Each time I do this, Steam insists on downloading the entire 9+ GB image over the net. I have a fast connection and it still takes >90 minutes to do this.

Is there a setting to select that reloads the bulk of the game files off the DVD and just downloads the patches? That would be super :-)

Thanks,
Mrod

This may work:

I would make a copy of any game saves just in case they are overwritten.

Why do you need to delete it?

A: verify game cache is the same as redownloading except files you added remain.

If it is because of modifications, download and copy the folder to another source dvd/hdd and just replace it instead of reloading.
