Running the DirectX 10 version of HAWX 1
I know that I can go into the Steam Library, right-click HAWX, and choose "Launch DirectX10 version", but I launch games from the Start Menu because it's faster and more efficient than the Steam client. However, the Steam shortcut runs the DirectX 9 version, and even if I try to run Steam\SteamApps\common\tom clany's hawx\HAWX_dx10.exe directly, it launches HAWX.exe (DX 9) instead. Is there a way to run DX 10 without using the Steam Library?

Thanks, but I've never used that and it's probably about as slow as the Steam Library. I don't see HAWX listed there anyway. However, if I can find out what the shortcut looks like, I can set up mine the same way.

Just putting this here in case people still want to solve this...
Just swap the .exe filenames around. Change the hawx_dx10_.exe to hawx.exe and steam will run the dx10 version by default. Easy. |
