Complete Playing Guide
I am frustrated with this game, played it several times but always ended in population leaving, goods not made, goods not delivered, everything went out of balanced. Any complete guide on how to survive and level up in the game?

The biggest thing, IMO, comes down to having a fat population (even if they're simply workers). More people = more taxes = more income. As long as you have money coming in you can fix just about any other problem. Some quick tips that have seemed to work for me: 1.) The first thing you should do after starting a game build 4-6 building material factories. You'll want a steady supply of this stuff as you spam new buildings (especially housing) everywhere. 2.) I never build fisheries on the coast, I save that space for warehouses and other stuff. If you build them out in the water though I would suggest not building more than 3 per harbor area. The helicopter has to pick up the fish if they can't be reached by road and if you have alot of fisheries it (helicopter) can get behind. Build new port authorities in the other beach areas on your island and put 2-3 fisheries in those new harbor areas instead (you'll want those extra ports for trade routes later on anyway). 3.) Build at least 3 tool manufacturing plants on your island. This is like building materials, you want a rock solid supply. 4.) Keep your ecobalance under 200 (200+ kicks on a nastier penalty I think). 5.) Do quests from the AI to get easy money and licenses to buy fertilities, resource refills, and +speed socket items for your ships. |

Here's a wonderful series of videos going over pretty much every aspect of Anno 2070. You can watch as much as you want until you have a good grasp of things, or do what I did and watch them all! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYFLh...A7E0841E162B15

Two biggest things that'll help, first and foremost, learn the production chains. One coal mine = two coal extractors etc... Second, a watched pot never boils. Don't overbuild because you need a lot of a certain resource for a limited time. Having 10 basalt extractors and 10 smelters will put your city up really fast, but when you're done, it's just a drain on your treasury. All those -10c's and -5c's really start to add up. Especially when you're still getting the hang of things.

This guy is great and he explains everything in detail. Each one is about an hour but you only need to watch the first four. Helps if you play as ECO as that is the faction he plays.
