TF2 Item server down?

I keep geting the "Loadout not available- could not connect to item server" message. I tried restarting my computer, thinking that was the proiblem, but that didn't seem to work. Is this only hapening to me, or is it hapening to anyone else? Also, is there a fix for this? Thanks in advance.

Item server is down. Just wait it out.

See, the item server tends to go down after major updates because hundreds of thousands of requests are being sent to servers every second, and servers can't magically process each and every request instantly.

And then people whine because they think servers are magically request boxes that can't possibly get stressed and they have unlimited space.

Simple fix is to buy new servers...this happens every single time an update comes out, you'd think Valve wouldlearn by now...

Servers require money, and God-Forbid, how could they ever ask money from the community?

I got the notification literally exactly at the moment I launched TF2. Was supposed to do some crafting. Great timing
