Please anyone have a fix to this or no whats happening?

that's crazy, where do you live? In over a hundred steam games I've never experienced anything like that-as in ,very slow speed taking that long....are you on dial up?

I assume you have tried pausing the download, then right-clicking on the game in the library, picking Properties, picking the Local Files tab, and selecting Validate Local Files? That usually sorts things.
Otherwise... make sure it's running with admin privileges... that you have plenty of hard drive space... that there are no firewall issues... not sure what else. If you are installing to play DayZ, be aware that a) it's a pain to set up and b) it's not that fun anymore imo unless you like a deathmatch that takes place over 87 square miles and has a few zombies. |

Not sure, but I believe you can only instal a game on 1 PC, if you tried to DL it on a friends PC, the other download on your own PC will fail.
Again not sure, but this would be logical. |

As long as you are using your steam account on your friends computer then you should be able to download and play the game without issue.

Just don't give your friend your password to try the game. You'll try to log in one day while he is logged in to your account and the problems start.

This is a Steam problem. You have a higher chance of getting an answer for this problem if you post in the Steam support section. Maybe someone there has experienced the same issue and knows how to fix it.

ok so i contacted steam support and they said delete everything in the steam directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam) Except for "steamapps" and "steam.exe" then restart my pc, then run the steam.exe in the steam folder. after a few seconds of updating steam again boom everything's back all installed games are still there and the download for ARMA2:OA has begun. Thanks Everyone for trying to help and i hope this will help anyone who has the same problem
