Don't Buy Peggle

Peggle Extreme is free, but when you try to load it, it often gives the error message "Cannot load steam.dll". The only workaround is to delete the steam.dll file, and the steamUI.dll file, then try reloading it, which will cause steam to automatically load a fresh file to replace the missing ones.

There's really no point in having it on your computer. Better not buy anything with the word "Peggle" in it until steam resolves the problem.

I never had any problems with Peggle and the Night one I enjoy the most. Sometimes glitches happen if your connection is bad or disconnects before it finishes installing.

No, OP says right, these are actually really broken and abandoned games.

I've played Peggle Nights to the end and working on unlocking the other two trophies. Popcap is huge and was acquired by EA for $750 million dollars. If you have any issues, I am sure they would be the first to help out if you reach their website.

They are simple games which can be picked up at the spur of the moment. There is no epicness to them, just fun to mess with if you have a 1/2 an hour to spare.

I've Had Peggle Deluxe forever, and have never had an issue with it., the only thing I wish was that it supported more than 800x600 (or whatever unchangeable resolution its set at)

I know this is an old thread, but if you're getting that error message you simply have to copy the steam.dll from the main steam folder into your peggle folder and it'll fix it. I got that error before and after copying the file it hasn't done it since. So disregard what op said.
