Unhappy 20% Discount.

More than a little disappointed that this is as far as the discount was let go.

I bought the game full price (and it was totally worth it) but not all my friends are as fortunate in their disposable income and were looking forward to a solid discount.

I don't know if BI or Valve had the final word on this, but either way it's not encouraging. Activision put their top selling franchise on 25% off, and those guys are notorious for being money-grubbing sociopaths.

I understand BI is a business, but I expected more.

Rule of thumb if it's not on a daily day than don't buy it to the very last day of sales because it's very possible it will be a daily deal at some point meaning there's a good chance it'll go cheaper than 20% at some point.

People just need to learn some patience.

I'm well aware, your snide response was not needed.

You make it sound like $23 for combined operations is expensive...it's not. You're getting a load of content for that price, and it's well worth it in my opinion. Tell your friends to hold off on buying that next bag of weed and they'll be able to afford it no problem! xD

I can totally understand why BI didn't discount it too much, these guys are a relatively small company, they don't bank like the money grubbers. They're probably still trying to fill their coffers since all the dayz craziness has been bringing them in more money than they've ever pulled in off of the Arma franchise. At least they're giving out a discount at this point. Think of it as investing into the awesomeness of Arma 3, which is hopefully what they are doing.

Except the part where I said I felt it was totally worth the full price?

Classic.

I said that I understand BI is a business with a lot of goodwill from their community, I just expected more from them. They're being upstaged by companies known for their greed.

This isn't Kickstarter.

If you don't accept anyones input, then why even post this thread?

I suppose I could have just agreed with you and said "Yeah, they're jerks for not cutting into their small-time profits!", would that be better?

Realistically, all your friends need to know is that the game is worth the price, if they want the game they'll surely buy it. Hopefully you'll be able to convince your pals because it's a great little package for the dough.

I'm waiting for a better than 20% daily deal, if it doesn't come (but I'm sure it will) then I'll hopefully still be able to get the 25% off Steam version from BIS' own website for a friend of mine. However, buying anything popular that isn't in the daily deal now is crazy. In fact even though I'm 100% sure DCS: Black Shark, Myst nor Riven will be in the daily deal I'm still waiting until the last day to buy them.

I bought the game 2 days ago... just for the DayZ mod, and I haven't even played it yet.

I'm feeling pretty annoyed with myself.

BI actually had a sale on their Combined Ops Steam keys, at £14.99 a go.

I'd hold out a little longer, it might drop down a little further, who knows.
