How to go into third person?

Just bought Arma 2 combined operations and went to the Boot Camp, and instructions tell me to hit "Enter [NUM]" to go to third person, hit enter, and numlock, nothing changes. And no 3rd person option in the controls.

It means use numpad enter

The numberpad's 'Enter' key i.e. the key to the bottom right of a standard qwerty keyboard.

Some servers don't actually support third-person, as it can be used to gain an advantage with regards to peeking corners and cover.

Check the server title says [3DP=ON] or something along those lines.
