commandos 3 failed to find steam

i keep trying to start the game but it keeps saying failed to find steam plz help and try to make it simple and not complicated im not good with computures

I had the exact same problem with the first game. I found a thread also about hitman having this issue, I was able to fix it by just copy and pasting the steam.dll to the game folder.

It worked for me.
