can the heavy get a little nerf

the fact a lot of play devolves into "whoever has the most heavies wins" makes me die a little inside.Yea, i know "go sniper or spy" and I do, but isnt this a tad ridiculous. hes the probably the easiest class to play too and doesnt even have many advanced techniques either

I just hate it when a heavy sees me from all the way across the map and starts shooting at me.... Why do they do this? bullets at that range do 4-5 damage, yet almost all seem to hit me.

Bonus points if he has a medic on him the whole round.

This thread will go nowhere...
whenever you say something is not balanced this community will tear your throat out , personally , the heavy is the only unbalanced part of the game... they need sensitivity restrictions or something..

also, heavy subforum

Increase Spin up, decrease Spin Down. There, now he is balanced.

Try playing more 5CP maps, they're usually less Heavy-friendly than Payload and most A/D maps. Also more open, which allows flanking them or their Medic butt-buddies more easily.

Especially Payload maps often devolve into sluggish borefests as it's so easy to brute-force the cart to the finish by stacking Heavies with a couple of Medics in most pub servers. When the frontline doesn't shift back and forth like in 5CP, the Heavy's slow speed is much less of an issue. Easy to stack them and force the enemy team to have to significantly outplay you to have a chance at winning.

Do what every person does when they see crits coming. Hide.

Well, the OP actually did a good job if, for no other reason, he's pointed out that the best solution to Heavies is going Sniper and Spy. When you put 2 and 2 together, you realize nerfed Heavies meaning less people going Sniper and Spy.

This is where my issue comes in, his minigun does 27 crit damage even at long range. Even if you try to get behind something, just a few boolets can take you out.
