No. He's hard to use, not useless. If you've got good aim and know how to use his traps, he's very powerful.

I decided to give him a try and, guess what, my k/d was 17:1 at the end. It just takes to get a hand of the sniping mechanics, lower mouse sense properly and you become a very dangerous sniper. Plus a slightly OP shrapnel aoe skill.

This. He's especially good at killing jackbots using level 4 ice traps and headshots
