What about the Winter Sale 2012?

If there's any way at all we could have a coal system without cheaters, that'd be great.

Holiday Sales usually have better selections. Save some money before this Christmas.

Gotta find money.

At Gamestop today, I just traded in 5 old PS3/360 games I haven't played in years, and got $19 towards a STEAM wallet credit. Pretty nifty deal.

Wait.

Is the winter sale as awesome as the summer sale?

Newer Steam user here and I'm just blown away at how fantastic the sale going on right now is.

The sale itself is awesome. It's just in the past, it was possible to get free games and DLC.

Last summer, there was only one free game. Last winter, you could win free games if you were lucky enough. Unfortunately, some people found ways to cheat the system and you had obvious cheaters sitting there with pages and pages of gift games in their inventory.

Me, I had very little luck. The last day of the sale, I won Counter Strike: Source, which I already had, and traded it for Deus Ex: GOTY (the original one). But at least it was a free game.

Pretty much. I would even say the winter sale can be better than the summer sale.

oh man you have no idea, last year the holiday sale was amazing

i got myself like 3 games just by trading, and we had GAME ARCHIVEMENTS, not this dumb badge thing, it was nice playing games for those archivements and win coupons, coal and in rare cases, games

if only we had game archivements this year, with this amazing F2P library, i was hoping for SMNC archivements, BLR archivements, Tribes archivements and LOTRO archivememnts
