Just bought the pack, 3 of the games listed twice?

I just bought the GTA pack from the sale, and I noticed that in my game list GTA 3, San Andreas, and Vice City are listed twice?

Is this normal?

They're the MAC versions.

Just make a category called "Junk" and put the mac versions there and hide them forever. What i did.

I have the same issue. It's weird... I have plenty of other Steamplay games and none of them show duplicates like this one.

Civ 4 used to do it as well. Not every game has a Windows-and-Mac hybrid executable that can be run happily by just hitting "play" and letting the program determine if you're on a Mac or not. Some require a completely different install because of the differences in the two operating systems.

This is an old issue and it first occured begin 2012. It was reported dozens of times but no one took their time to fix it yet (and they probably wont) so live with it and hide them in a category or whatever.

Thanks for confirming it's just mac versions. Putting them in the Dont-want-to-see category, no biggie!

Wink GTA Mac Removal Mission - Detailed Walkthrough

I posted this walkthrough on another thread yesterday, but new threads on this topic keep popping up, so I thought it might bear repeating.

Please perform the following steps in the exact order in which they are listed:

1) Load up GTA IV, since only previous games are affected (base game only; play as Nico).
2) Leave the Albany Avenue safehouse in Algonquin.
3) Hail a yellow cab (don't ring Roman, or Mohammed will call you a HeadDick).
4) Set a waypoint for the Heli-Tours on the south-east side of Algonquin.
5) Get out of the cab when you arrive, stop at the hotdog stand, and refill your health bar.
6) Steal the first helicopter that you find.
7) Fly out to the Statue of Happiness Island.
8) Hover just above the top deck (not accessible from lower levels).
9) Bail out of the helicopter, land on the top level, and try not to die in the process.
10) Enter the statue structure between the brass plaques ("No Hidden Content This Way").
11) Climb the ladder approximately 3 floors until you get to the top of a platform.
12) Look up at the large beating heart inside the statue.
13) Wait 60 seconds.
14) Pray to the supreme god, GabeN, at Valve headquarters.
15) Ask that the Mac copies of the GTA games be removed from our PC game libraries.
16) Return to the Algonquin safehouse.
17) Log into Nico's computer.
18) Navigate to the Steam forums.
19) Post the results of your mission here.

Once we hear the results, we can provide further guidance.

Good luck!
