Crash when healing with medigun

Every time I try to heal an ally with the medigun, the game crashes to desktop for everyone. Game's never caused problems for me before.

Verified files and no problems were found.
Win 7 64-bit, ati radeon 4800 series, intel i7.

Thoughts?

if that's happening on custom maps, custom maps r the problem. it should not happen on an official map, unless u included some rly dangerous custom map in ur addons.

We were playing on the original campaign without any add-ons or anything.

Also experiencing this - Crash to desktop as soon as you try to heal someone with medigun.
This occurs on original campaign maps and this problem started with the new patch that was released. I've tried a fresh install of the game through the library uninstall and then redownloading but the problem persists.

64-bit Windows 7, GTX 550 Ti, Intel i5

on what servers r u playing? dedicated? if so, u may b playing on servers that r still not updated, and that would explain ur issue. also, servers may have troublesome addons installed on them, which would do the same.
