Zoom Lagg
So I purchased this game for the single player but I have come across a game breaking problem.
I am able to play SEV2 with the max graphic settings and get a smooth 60-90 FPS while lots of action is occurring. However, when I zoom with my sniper I get hit with a big wall of lag all the way down to 5-10 FPS. Upon googling for a fix, it came back with useless or no information about my problem. Specs: Intel I7 2600k with 3rd party heat sink Asus P8P67 Deluxe 2x Nvidia 570 in SLI 8GB DDR3 2000MHz Dual Monitors My temps are fine, I am going to try and rollback my drivers in hope that fixes it. Anyone else had/have this problem or can exchange some advice? |

Hmm, except for the dual monitors, I have basically the same setup as you, but never experienced what you describe.

Needs to be fixed in a patch. EDIT: Played for a few more minutes and started happening again. D; Last edited by FiLThYFreaK: 07-19-2012 at 01:22 PM. |

I experience the same, average of ~50 FPS during normal gameplay and not more than ~20 while looking through the scope..
I suppose this is because of the "improved DOF effect" displayed while sniping. You could try turning the DX11 features (compute shaders) off, this could improve performance, at least it brought my performance back to the way it was before patch, but it looks worse now..... |

I love this game..support this game since release with servers etc.. but the OP might have something here.. since last update.. using FRAPS or EVGA Percision I can see a 50% decrease in FPS when zoomed in.. I never noticed that before..
Just sayin.. I got good graphics cards so it dont hinder my game..but is there.. Using 560 and 670 Nvidia cards on I5 systems.. That said..all the additions in the last PATCH are a blessing.. well worth steam sales..might even be worth full price! but they need to look into this.. Edit: Also have dual monitors but disabling one had no effect.. Last edited by FubyDoo: 07-20-2012 at 07:40 AM. |

Oh oh, just bought the game and have a very similar system. I hope there is no lag.

if you have a decent graphics card there wont be a problem..more of an annoyance..they are looking into it they say.. mine is like from 90+ frames to 45+ frames..so it's only noticable in Fraps and utilities like that..not gameplay that much..

just turn compute shaders off. all the rest can be on, although supersample is heavy as hell.

thanks to Steve over on SEv2 forums as well.. Unchecking compute shaders did the trick.. Last edited by FubyDoo: 07-23-2012 at 10:14 AM. |
