Black screen on start, but theres sound?

So i have had Magicka for quite a while now, and i have had fun playing it (even tho the framerate was always quite low

)

But recently i re-installed it, and it played the starting section with the logos and stuff, but when the part where the book appears, is all black. there is music, and i could hear the pages flip, but the screen is all dark. (the cursor is still there though)i could even click some random places on the screen to hear the page flip again.

If anyone know a solution, please help!

I'm getting the exact same problem. It worked the other day when I first got it but today all I got was a black screen.

I get this occasionally, usualy after tabbing out while it boots up. Exiting Magicka and restarting always fixes it for me.

Updates and reinstalling sometimes makes the settings go corrupt. Try using the settings.sav -file linked in this post.

If you then can launch Magicka, reset preferred setting.
