Want a new Nvidia card, price rang of up to £320

So yeah, After a new Nvidia card, I'm pretty useless at deciding which ones are good or not, preferably on this website http://www.scan.co.uk/shop/computer-hardware

Cheers,

Cheers,
With that budget, the choice is obvious -

Assuming the rest of your hardware is up to scatch.....including PSU. You had insisted on nV, if not, the HD7850 2gb is cheaper, save you a fair bit of cash, and is able to do most games at max detail @1080P.....but hey, it's your money and choice.

For that kinda money you can get a GTX670.

That will max everything really, or wait for the GTX660/ti if you want to save some money.

The 670 is a great card and the 660 will be a go to card for many I believe.

The GTX 670 is the obvious choice as mentioned but you'll need a more powerful PSU to power it. 430W won't cut it I'm afraid.

how much more powerful? Or would it be worth me getting a less powerhungry card?

What 430W PSU do you have exactly? It may just power it but it would be close, especially if it's a low quality unit.

Ugh....CX series isn't exactly good, I am not a PSU guy so wait for others to respond. Seriously, for that price, you can get a good PSU + HD7850 2GB. If you really want the GTX670, it's going to cost you more since a PSU upgrade is in order.......unless some PSU experts say otherwise.

I think the 670 requires two PCI-E power connectors and your PSU has only one. Personally, I think you'd be best getting another PSU as the CX series is not the best, but I'd wait to see what other people have to say. The recommended PSU for that card is a 550W minimum. Source.
I'd look at getting something like this XFX Pro Series Core Edition P1-550S-UKB9 550W Power Supply - £48.66 Inc VAT

Hmm, I was browsing through the site and I found a bunch of promotional offers for the GTX 570 & 580 bunch, comes with a free copy of Borderlands 2, would that be worth checking out?

Similar price range as the 2GB HD7850, but hey, if nV tickles your bones, why not? The GTX570 1280MB is more power hungry than the GTX670 I believe, but being cheaper, obviously, you'd have the spare cash to get a decent PSU.

The GTX 570 and 580 both use more power than the 670 so you'd still need a new power supply. You may be able to get away with running a 7850 on that PSU as it only requires one PCI-E connector but I still wouldn't recommend it. See what others have to say as there are plenty on here that are more knowledgeable then I am when it comes to power supplies

Had a lot of problems with the driver updates on AMD/ATI, especially with games like Skyrim & GTAIV, just left a bad taste in my mouth I guess.

Which card would be best then? And which PSU? I think I can really spend a maximum of £320 and thats including delivery

Cheers,

I think that a MSI Overclocked Radeon HD 7950 Twin Frozr AMD Graphics Card - 3GB - £269.99 Inc VAT + the power supply I linked to, would be your best bang for buck at the moment
