Did I preorder at PAX 2011?

I distinctly remember the time I spent in the Runic booth at PAX 2011, and I'd swear that I preordered the game. I knew it was early, but I enjoyed the first, and at the time I thought it would fill the time before D3 launched.

Now, I'm looking to T2 to restore my faith in the genre after D3 destroyed it, but I can't find the record of my preorder. So, is there a way for a Runic rep to check the preorder rolls and tell me if I'm on them?

If you area Runic rep, please PM me and let me know what's up. I'll be happy to provide identifying info in a private message or email.

I'm 99% sure that the only preorders have been through Steam, and only began a few months ago.

Pre-orders didn't go on sale until April of 2012. There was no way you got a pre-order at PAX last year. All you have to do is look in your Steam library. If there's no 'Torchlight II Pre Order' listed in your library (it will be greyed out, since it's not installed) then you didn't get it yet.

Also, D3 didn't destroy the genre. No game can. There are plenty of decent action/rpg's out there. Titan Quest, Sacred and Sacred 2, the Dungeon Siege series (except III). And then there's always Grim Dawn and Path of Exile being developed. PoE is awesome, get in on the beta if you can.

He didn't say it destroyed the genre, he said it destroyed his -faith- in the genre.

Thanks, guys. I've emailed runic directly with basically the same content as this post, and at this point I expect the answer to be a reflection of what you all have said. Maybe I was just especially eager to pre-order at PAX 2011.

And Strid has it right; it's my faith that needs bolstering. I worry that my displeasure in D3 was so great that it may corrupt my T2 experience. It was kinda like when the new album for a great band really sucks - it's hard to accept, and then you go listen to other things. When the next one comes along, though, you remember the suckage and are wary.

You definitely didn't pre-order this game that long ago. Runic has never sold their game at their own booth at any event. Plus there is that whole Pre-Orders just went on sale in May this year and they weren't even directly through Runic (Perfect World and Steam only so far).

You've been able to pre-order through Perfect World for just as long as the Steam pre-order has been available.

Here's the official announcement.
